Billabong Ante Up Hits Whistler Mountain Today (03-Jul-11)

Snowboarders From Across The World Compete For $50,000

07.01.2011 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Billabong Ante Up, presented by Von Zipper is going live today, July 1st, 2011 at the top of Whistler Mountain. The event is a 5star TTR World Snowboard Tour event, and the marquee kick-off event for the 2011-2012 TTR World Snowboard Tour. Additionally, Billabong Ante Up is also the qualifying event for the 6 Star Billabong Innsbruck Air and Style event in February 2012.

Located at the top of the Whistler Village Gondola on Whistler Mountain, Billabong Ante Up will be happening from 1-5pm PST. Snowboarders from across the globe will be hitting a 90 foot big air jump with $50,000 and TTR World Tour snowboard points up for grabs.

The event is open to the public to come watch, with the Whistler Village Gondola on Whistler and the Wizard Express Chair on Blackcomb opening at 10:00am for upload to the event. To watch the Billabong Ante Up event live, guests can purchase a PEAK 2 PEAK Alpine Experience ticket, or use their Seasons Pass (free access) or EDGE Card (50% off) to access the mountain. Additionally, Canadian Hip Hop star K-OS will be in attendance to play DJ sets between the snowboard action. With the world’s top snowboarders, including last year's winner and Canadian Seb Toutant, Chas Guildemond, Gjermund Braaten, Sage Kotsenberg, Eric Willett and others competing, the top of Whistler is the place to be for Canada Day.
