Fernie Alpine

Fernie Alpine Resort received a big dumping of snow overnight with a whopping 11cm (4 inches) of new snowfall. Tradition holds true as the annual Powder 8's Competition, happening this Saturday March 13, is known to spur big snowfalls leading up to the event.  This year, the competition is a part of an entire weekend of fun named Powder Powder, dedicated to a celebration of the mountain and sponsored by VW.  There are specials and activities taking place all weekend (March 13-14) including the Powder 8's on Saturday and live music in the Griz Bar from Rick Voisey.  To celebrate the mountain and all it has to offer, a special offer for the First Tracks program will be available all week from March 13-19th.  Experience the life of a rockstar, Fernie-style, and hit the slopes 1 hour early before anyone else!  Private groups of up to 3 people are only $183+gst (regular price = $269+gst). Ages 10 and up (ages 10-16 must be accompanied by an adult). Must be booked by 5:00pm the previous day.

Coming to Fernie for the first time or want to check out new terrain?  Book a Guided Mountain Tour! Our Mountain Tour Guides provide an introductory tour around the mountain helping familiarize guests with the unique terrain of Fernie Alpine Resort. Mountain Tours are approx. 1.5hrs and leave at 10:30am and 1:30pm. Cost is only $9.95 per person* and all registered guests receive a $10 RCR Gift Card.
