Australia's Best Boarders To Make Snow Sizzle At Baw Baw (15-Jul-09)

Many of the country’s top snow boarders will be in action at Mt Baw Baw on Saturday 18th July at the massive ‘Battle @ Baw Baw’ sponsored by Forum Snowboards.  

Baw Baw resort CEO Leona Turra says the ‘Battle@Baw Baw’ is set to get underway on Hut Run at 11am. Mt Baw Baw will see many of Australia’s best and most established snow boarders as well as some up and coming young boarders ‘shredding the snow at this event’. Thirty of Australia’s top boarders will be competing for great cash prizes.

Robbie Walker is one of Australia’s best pro riders who is expected to compete in the Battle.  There will be the waft of snags and onions cooking in the ski bowl to keep the hunger pains away & Saturday night will get underway with an explosion of fireworks and a live band at the Alpine Hotel. 

Ralph Rottura from Forum Snowboards said that the ‘Battle@ Baw Baw’ was part of the Forum annual Rail Jam series with all boarders competing for the Baw Baw title and obvious bragging rights on the day. In addition results at Baw Baw would assist those boarders seeking to establish themselves as Australia’s premier snow boarder this season.  

Amateur boarders do not be afraid … there are other features open on the hill and weather permitting the Big Air Bag will also be operating.
