Annual Women's Ski Program - New Mates Rates Package For 2008!! (20-Jul-08)

Falls Creek, Vic, July 20, 2008 - This year’s Mim Sodergren Women's Five Day Ski Program

This year’s Mim Sodergren Women's Five Day Ski Program will be held between 28 July – 1 August '08 and a shorter, Three Day version between 29 – 31 August ’08.

New Mates Rates Package for 2008!!

Bring a friend, sister or daughter who has always wanted to learn to ski or develop their skills and they will receive a great deal on their first experience with the Mim Sodergren program.

Your companion will receive 15% discount off the full price of the program.

The core strength of this program (apart from the invaluable support from the women instructors) is the camaraderie amongst the like-minded women participating in the annual five and three day programs. Feedback from virtually every woman who has taken part is always very positive. The women achieve their goals in a comfortable environment. And have a lot of fun at the same time.

This year's women's ski programs will be similar to the previous programs but with one notable addition - the offer to less experienced (or even total beginners) to participate. Any woman who has been invited to go to the snow but has declined because of a reluctance to try skiing will find this an ideal opportunity in which to take those tentative steps in an ideal, all-women environment.

Program inclusions/schedule:

The five day women's ski program begins on Sunday evening when participants meet their instructors for the first time at Winterhaven Restaurant in the heart of the alpine resort. The program's welcome, registration and drinks take place between 5-7pm.

Throughout both the five day and three day programs a hand-picked group of  Falls Creek Snowsports School's women instructors will focus on each participant's desire to improve her skiing prowess, in a comfortable and caring environment.

Each small group will ski together until about four each afternoon with a break for lunch at various venues around the mountain. This provides an opportunity to sample the numerous eating places and discuss each participants progress with their hand-picked instructor.

The on-snow session of the five day program begins on Monday morning, 28 July, with six hours of instruction under the guidance of a Falls Creek Snowsport School's women instructor.

On Tuesday evening there's an après drinks & fashion parade at Apres Voux (in  the new St Falls complex), a high end, Aspen-style, boutique which stocks exclusive labels such as Prada, Versace, Spyder, Metropolis, Canada Goose, Sun Ice and also offers a wide range of accessories by Renaissance.

Thursday evening is the popular women's program dinner (starting at 6pm) at  the Gateway Cafe/Gallery. It is a two-course dinner complimented by Sam Miranda and Gapsted Wines, two of the most sought-after NE Victoria wineries.

The Mim Sodergren women's program will then ride the Gully Chairlift to watch the spectacular, high-energy Night Show in the Village Bowl which features professional skiing displays, synchronised snowmobiles, spinning Kassbohrers (purpose-built grooming machines) and a stunning finale - an awesome fireworks display!

There's more! Each participant has the opportunity to watch a video tape analysis of their on-snow activity, they'll receive a Driza bone thermal wear garment (100% Australian wool), a gift to fit in with their busy lifestyle, a group photo, Free executive ski demo hire from Central Snow Sports and Ocean Spray juices with lunch.

Some attractive prizes such as a guided snowmobile tour, snow grooming tour with an operator and his high-tech machine, customised foot beds (donated by Central Snow Sports), 2009 resort entry passes and Endota spa massages will be won by participants in this year's Mim Sodergren Women's Program.
